MPC: VISTA is an online, practice-based professional development training that prepares educators to teach Making Proud Choices! (MPC), a CDC-endorsed teen pregnancy and HIV prevention program, with confidence and skill.
We are currently recruiting educators for a paid research study. Participants receive $300 and access to the full MPC: VISTA training.

Practice-based professional development for teaching Making Proud Choices
Making Proud Choices! (MPC) is one of the most widely used evidence-based programs for teen pregnancy and HIV/STI prevention in the United States. It is endorsed by the CDC, the Office of Adolescent Health, and the Office of Population Affairs, and its efficacy has been demonstrated across decades of randomized controlled trials.
But evidence-based programs only work when they are implemented well. And implementation depends almost entirely on the educator.
In-person MPC training can cost thousands of dollars per participant. When staff turn over, new educators often just pick up the manual and wing it. The result: most students receive MPC-based instruction from an educator who has never practiced the skills it requires.
That gap is the problem MPC: VISTA is designed to solve.
Research has found that during one recent school year, only 5% of organizations that purchased the MPC curriculum went on to complete any training.

We use this Google user data solely to create your account, sign you in securely, and link your training progress and certificate to you. We do not request or access any other Google user data (no Gmail, Google Drive, Calendar, or Contacts), and we never sell it or use it for advertising.
